Industrial Technology
About the Program
The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BS-IT) is mainly a plus-two program that builds on associate degrees earned in industrial technology or similar areas. Entrance requirements to this plus-two program include an associate degree in industrial technology with appropriate coursework, including physical sciences and mathematics (through analytic geometry with calculus).
Graduates of associate degree programs in industrial technology or related programs from other institutions may enter the program as juniors based on an evaluation of their transcripts. This evaluation determines if additional lower division courses will be required to meet the prerequisites of the program. Freshman students may enter the four-year program.
Students may also transfer from industrial or closely related programs to the industrial technology program at a level depending on the evaluation of their courses.
Prospective students include graduates of associate degree programs like:
Civil Engineering Technology
Drafting & Design Engineering Technology
Electrical Engineering Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
General Studies (with advance program of study approval by the Chair of Engineering Technology)
All students must meet the requirements of the institution and the core curriculum for graduation.
