THE SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS AT WVU TECH

The  Society of Automotive Engineers is a global coalition of engineers and technical experts dedicated to lifelong learning and the advancement of aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle fields. At WVU Tech, our student chapter of SAE embodies that mission in the research they conduct and the projects they take on.

WVU Tech’s SAE chapter currently maintains two competitive teams – Baja Buggy and Aero Design – that allow students to develop their research, design, engineering, construction, communication and presentation skills in the shop and in the field as they compete against students from throughout the nation.

These projects are invaluable to the WVU Tech community and to the students who pour untold hours into these efforts to gain real, tangible experience – experience that makes them better engineers on the other side.
