Department of Engineering Technology
About our Program
The engineering technology program at WVU Tech provides multiple paths to earning the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET). Students may enroll at WVU Tech as transfers into the upper division of our 2+2 program after completing their first two years of engineering technology study (earning an AAS/AS degree at a community college).
At WVU Tech, our engineering technology programs provide students an opportunity to learn through a hands-on orientation that challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively and work in teams to solve problems. Currently, the Department offers the following disciplinary areas:
- Civil Engineering Technology
- Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Electronic Engineering Technology
- Environmental Engineering Technology
- Industrial Technology
The civil engineering technology, electronic engineering technology, and mechanical engineering technology programs are accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
