In our most recent survey of program graduates, we found that 100% of our 2019 graduates found full-time employment or started an advanced degree after graduating from WVU Tech. They also reported an average starting salary range of $55,000 - $64,000.

Mechanical engineering is a large professional occupation with a vast number of career options and opportunities. On account of our reputation as a practice-oriented engineering program, graduates have been among the most sought after engineers. In particular, graduates with co-op experience usually have job offers before they graduate, often from their co-op employers.

A WVU Tech degree in mechanical engineering prepares students for a variety of jobs in industry, government and academia. Recent graduates have been offered jobs in world-renowned companies such as DuPont, Toyota, Siemens and Schlumberger where they work as designers, engineering managers, plant engineers and field engineers.
